Isabella “Bella” Dolande
(Mezzo-Soprano/Soprano) is a professional Musical Theatre Performer as a singer, dancer, musician, and actress. Currently based in North Carolina, she also teaches private voice lessons and freelances in social media marketing & arts administration. Her professional goals are to gain artistic representation and earn her Actor’s Equity membership to perform on Broadway.
Most recent highlights include Showgirl/Ensemble in The Producers (Opera House Theatre Company), Lettie in Something’s Afoot (Longmont Theatre Company), Meg March/Clarissa in Little Women the Musical, and Serena in Legally Blonde the Musical (Jesters Dinner Theater).
Performance Profiles:
Bella graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, Butler School of Music with a Bachelor’s of Music in Voice Performance and a Minor in Arts Management & Administration. Having recently studied with Dr. Cynthia Morrow, she has appeared in the Butler Opera Center's productions of Cosi fan Tutte, Mark Adamo's Little Women, and Suor Angelica, and sang Alto I in UT’s elite Chamber Singers choir. Isabella has also studied with Stacy Strakowski (Dept. of Theatre and Dance) for musical theatre songs and popular genres. In January 2020, she participated in the NATS Musical Theatre Audition Masterclass with Michael Cassara, CSA.
In the Spring of 2019, Isabella played her first lead operatic role as Zemfira in Rachmaninoff’s one-act opera, Aleko alongside her former professor of study, Nikita Storojev (Russian Speakers Society of Austin). The production was met with praise and acclaim from Society members.
